Since its formation in 1975, Guest Krieger has always maintained a presence in the London insurance market, building solid and enduring relationships with our insurance partners.
Committed to the city we operate in, we do not have other offices around the world. We are therefore able to provide a vital independent service for our network of producers and local insurance companies who require access to the London market.
We have always believed that professionalism, continuity and outstanding client service were the sound foundations of a successful insurance broking business.
Guest Krieger is owned by the senior management team making us both independent and fully focused on delivering the highest quality service to our clients.
In 2020 we established Guest Krieger Europe Srl. in order to serve our clients within the European Economic Area (EEA). We offer our EEA clients the same levels of expertise as the rest of our clients.
MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER
When I first came to London in 1968 to work for Harris & Dixon, London’s longest established Lloyd’s broker, I began to develop a vision of the type of insurance broker I wanted to create. It would be highly focussed on classes of business that I and my team specialised in and where we could add value to our clients it would be built on strong and enduring relationships with insurance carriers in the London market, and it would place client service at its centre. I knew that satisfied and loyal clients are the basis of a successful broking house.
In 1975 I approached the Chairman of Harris & Dixon, Lord Wimborne (head of the Guest family), to discuss the idea of forming a joint venture and from this, Guest Krieger was born. In the succeeding years I continued to fine-tune these principles of service and professionalism as the company grew. In 1987 the company was approved as a Lloyd’s broker in its own right and when Lord Wimborne withdrew from his UK business activities a few years later, I completed a buy-out making Guest Krieger fully independent.
A point of considerable importance in the years to follow was the question of continuity and the need to identify the right person to take the company forward at the appropriate time. In 2004 I asked Alon Miller to join me as I felt his background in law and his experience of running an international company made him ideally suited to be my successor. Alon made an immediate and significant impact.
Today, I am delighted to see that the values on which the company was founded and which I continue to hold dear, remain the bedrock of Guest Krieger’s philosophy. The company continues to flourish – I take great pride in seeing that many clients from those early years are still present today, long standing staff have been joined by young and enthusiastic new colleagues to provide the quality of service that is embedded in the company’s DNA and for which it is well known, our office in Cornhill for over 25 years remains the company’s base – and the ownership transfer to Alon and his team in 2011 was a natural next step in Guest Krieger’s continuing story.
In July 2018 I was honoured to receive an award from Inga Beale, Chief Executive of Lloyd’s, in recognition of my contribution over 50 years to the relationship and cooperation between Lloyd’s and the Israeli market. I am deeply proud of Guest Krieger’s legacy, of its many achievements over the past 40 years, of the service it has provided to its clients, and of the support of its loyal team of employees. As I look to the future, with all the challenges and opportunities to be faced, I am confident that the company will continue to do what it does best and will continue to be successful.
